According to the CFA association, Video Performance Guarantee (VPG) is a minimum guaranteed speed specification for writing continuous data streams from applications. The VPG specification is designed for stable high-res video recording (in Pro DSLR and Pro video cameras). This can ensure that the video stream will be saved without interruptions or dropping frames. The VPG Logo is a “Clapper Board” with a number inside that specifies the minimum guaranteed write speed.

*Filmmakers, please note!! Our friends at Canon emphasized that it is important to have the VPG-130 standard for your card to prevent dropped frames during recording.
